Learn more about Trenching Systems Australia

Trenching Systems Australia was acquired in early 2006 by David Thompson of Polymer Welding Services after David identified an opportunity to offer a complete package service to his existing pipeline customers. The company in its original form has been in operation for more than 15 years.

The need for clients to have a reliable, comprehensive and total solution for their poly pipe and trenching requirements has become clear in the short time since the acquisition. This need has seen the company build its equipment to a level that offers a complete service for anyone requiring hard rock trenching.

Trenching Systems Australia has the largest machines of its type in Australia and, as such, can offer a unique solution to large pipeline or cable projects.
The machines used are large, purpose built trenchers, designed to be able to cut through hard ground and rock. The result is a perfectly cut trench with straight sides and excavated material piled neatly to the left or right of the trench.

Trenching Systems Australia operates in all areas of Australia and, with the addition of new transport equipment, can now offer its services further afield if the need arises.

Recent projects completed include more than 11km of trenching at BHP's $2.0 Billion Ravensthorpe Nickel Project and more than 20km of trenching for BHP and Rio Tinto at projects near Newman, Yandi, Area C and Tom Price in the Pilbara.
